What is Matrix Therapy?

Created by Pip McKay, Matrix Therapies® is a profound set of personal development tools used to transform even the most stubborn problems. It is a specific style of questioning and guiding of the unconscious mind in a mild meditative state to provide a deep sense of resolution and understanding of self and others.

With a basis Tad James’ timeline therapy, it can be used to clear the negative influences of people and past events, negative thought patterns and help in letting go of negative beliefs and emotions that lay in the unconscious mind blocking and sabotaging your efforts to achieve the success you deserve.

A person can be guided to let go and resolve any unnecessary emotions that may be having a negative effect on their lives and holding them back from their inner greatness. This, in turn, can lead to greater success, a greater sense of self-worth and self-love, more awareness around relationships with the people in your life and better clarity to increase their quality.

Matrix Therapies® gets to the underlying cause of problems that have sometimes been developed extremely early in life.

James Cole is a fully certified Master Practitioner of Advanced Matrix Therapies® and combines it with Mindscaping, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Hypnosis, and other techniques to deliver Empowered Meditation Therapy™ as a powerful set of tools to help clients embrace their own power and free them of emotional attachments.

Frequently Asked Questions

In a sense yes in that both the movie and the therapy are about stepping outside of what we consider normal reality. But that’s where the connection ends.

Matrix therapies uses your powerful imagination and abilities to visualise to metaphorically travel to past events that significantly affected the course of your life. Once there, you will resolve any emotional issues you may have carried from the event and bring new learnings and resources back with you to the present moment.

Yes absolutely. You are always in control and conscious of what is happening. No one can make you do anything you don’t want to do and you can always return to full alertness at any time you choose.

If at any time in the process you feel uncomfortable with any aspect, just mention it to your guide or therapist and they will adjust their guidance accordingly.

Yes. Anyone who wants to take part in a therapy session, has something specific that they want to work on and resolve and is willing to put in the effort, will be able to gain the amazing benefits of Matrix Therapy. The only skill required is the ability to pay attention and follow the instructions of the guide.

Absolutely not. Even with full hypnosis, this is a myth constructed for good storytelling in books and movies. You will always have complete control. If at any time in the hypnotic process you want or need to be fully awake, you can simply open your eyes and return to normal consciousness.

No, it is not possible. You do not lose control while undergoing Matrix Therapy. If at any time you wish to be fully awake, simply open your eyes and return to full alert consciousness.

First and foremost, make sure that the therapist is qualified in Matrix Therapy and knows what they are doing. If they are qualified they will have a certificate to certify their competence. Beyond that, Matrix Therapy is about the relationship and quality communication between the therapist and the client. Call them up and discuss your needs. You want to find a therapist that you find warm and friendly and you would be comfortable opening up to.

Make sure that you can understand them clearly as much of the process is about the language we use. Hard to understand accents or bad technological connections (WI-FI, phone, etc) can have a detrimental effect on the process.

Lastly, you are going to be listening to the therapist’s voice a lot, make sure they have a voice that doesn’t irritate you or make you uncomfortable in any way.

Most good therapists will give you a free call or assessment first. Use this to assess if they are right for you and be mindful that a good therapist will also be assessing you as a potential client to make sure that you are a good fit for them.
